What your sales team really costs, and what AI could change

Enter your leads, average check, ad spend, salaries and bonuses. The model prices a person with hiring, ramp-up, time off and working hours, then shows what changes when AI agents answer every lead.

All amounts in US dollars per month unless stated. Starting values are illustrations, not market statistics: replace them with yours.

The math

Profit after cost of goods, ads and the sales department. Three scenarios of conversion uplift

The formula: processed leads × conversion × check × margin − ads − sales department = profit. With AI every lead is processed, and conversion grows by your uplift assumption.

Now: your teamCautiousBaseOptimistic

The three scenarios are 0.5×, 1× and 1.5× of the conversion uplift you entered. It is your assumption, not a promise, so test it on a small share of traffic before you rely on it.

Advertising

You already pay for every lead. The question is how many of them reach a purchase

ItemNowWith AI, base scenario
Leads from ads / organic——
Price of a lead from ads——
Ad spend per sale——
Ad spend on leads nobody handled—$0
Extra ad spend needed without AI for the same sales—
Each $1 of ads returns margin——

You pay for ads the same either way. With AI the same budget produces more sales because no paid lead stays unanswered, so the bigger the ad budget, the more AI is worth: without AI you would have to buy more leads at your price per lead to get the same sales.

Salary, bonus, taxes, hiring and time off of the managers come from your data above. Speed comes from «leads per manager a day». The number of meetings is the same for both sides to keep the comparison fair; in practice AI makes more follow-ups and brings more people to a meeting.

How the model works

Every number comes from a field you can change. Nothing is hidden

This is a planning model, not a measurement of your company. It turns the numbers you enter into a comparison of two setups: your sales department as it is, and a department where AI agents answer every lead and you keep a few people for complex cases.

  • Leads = ad spend ÷ price per lead + organic leads. You can also enter leads directly.
  • Capacity of one manager = leads a day × working days in a month, minus holidays and sick leave, minus the time lost to turnover (two weeks of a vacancy and half a productivity for the ramp-up).
  • Real cost of a manager = salary + bonus + payroll taxes + workplace + yearly turnover × cost of hiring and ramp-up ÷ 12 + paid days off.
  • Cost of AI = platform plan + replies beyond the plan × price per reply. Replies = leads × replies per lead. The default prices are the ones on the pricing page: $4 per 100 replies at the base model rate, plans of $49 and $99.
  • Hour of real work = the cost of a manager ÷ (paid hours × the share of paid time that is real work). In practice a person works 20–32% of paid time and about 15% produces results, so a real hour costs several times more than a paid one.
  • Conversion with AI = current conversion + the uplift you enter. The cautious and optimistic scenarios use half and one and a half times that uplift.
  • Profit = processed leads × conversion × check × margin − ads − sales department.

What the model does not include

  • Quality differences between people, seasonality, price changes and the effect of brand.
  • Leads that need a human decision: that is what the managers you keep are for.
  • Taxes on profit, equipment depreciation, the cost of managing the team and any one-off losses.
  • A guarantee. The uplift is your assumption: check it on a small part of traffic and replace it with measured numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the starting numbers come from?

They are illustrations for each niche, not market statistics, and they are meant to be replaced. The AI prices are the ones published on the pricing page: $4 per 100 replies at the base model rate and plans from $19 to $99 a month.

Is the conversion uplift a promise?

No. It is your assumption, and the model shows three scenarios around it. Real results depend on your offer, traffic and how well the agent is set up, so test on a part of the traffic and enter what you measure.

Does the model replace my managers?

The model compares setups; it does not decide for you. AI agents take repeatable conversations and follow-ups, and people keep complex deals, negotiations and relationships, which is why the field «managers kept with AI» exists.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. The numbers are kept on your device only, so the page remembers them next time.

Why is the hourly cost of AI so low?

Because it is the plan plus replies beyond the plan, spread over every hour of the month. It excludes the work of setting up the agent, knowledge and channels, which you can enter as a one-time cost.
