Connecting Your Facebook Messenger

Automate conversations and comment replies on your Facebook page via Messenger.

Overview

This guide explains how to connect Facebook Messenger to your agent, enabling automated conversations and comment handling on your Facebook page.

Step-by-step connection process

  1. Navigate to the Channels tab in your dashboard
  2. Select the agent you want to connect to Facebook Messenger
  3. Click the Messenger tab
  4. Click the Connect Messenger button

Authentication process

When you click Connect Messenger, you'll be redirected to the Facebook authorization flow where you need to: select your business; select your Facebook page; authorize the necessary permissions. After completing these steps, you'll be redirected back to the dashboard where your connected Facebook page will be displayed.

Configuration options

Ignore Reactions, determine whether your agent responds to reactions to messages in Messenger and likes/other reactions to your Facebook posts; enabling prevents responses to these.

Quick Comment Reply, enables "private reply": when someone comments under your Facebook post, your agent can automatically reply. Leave blank and the agent won't reply to comments; configure a message and the agent replies to the comment and attempts to reach the person via direct messages. This helps move public conversations to private channels for better service.

Voice Messages, configure which voice is used to reply and whether voice replies are enabled. Reply Delay, set the delay in seconds between receiving a message and responding.
