Overview
WhatsApp integration allows your agent to handle customer messages through one of the world's most popular messaging platforms. This enables seamless communication with your customers where they're already comfortable.
Step-by-step connection process
- Navigate to the Channels tab in your dashboard
- Select the agent you want to connect to WhatsApp
- Find and click the WhatsApp tab
- Click the Connect button
WhatsApp Business account setup
When you start the connection process: you'll be directed to WhatsApp's embedded signup flow; select your existing WhatsApp Business account if you have one; if you don't, follow the prompts to create one; complete the authorization process; you'll be redirected back to the MyChatBot dashboard.
Configuration options
After connecting your WhatsApp Business account, you can configure:
Reply Delay, set the delay in seconds between when a message is received and when your agent responds. This makes conversations feel more natural.
Voice Reply, if users send voice messages, toggle Voice reply to voice message to enable/disable voice responses, and select a voice type from the dropdown for your agent's voice replies.
Activating your WhatsApp integration
Once you've configured all settings: ensure the status shows "Connected"; your agent will now be able to communicate with customers through WhatsApp.
