Who each tool is for

Tidio describes itself as a complete service platform built for human and AI alignment. It combines live chat, a help desk with tickets, Flows automations and Lyro, which Tidio presents as an AI agent for small and mid-sized businesses. It integrates with Shopify, WordPress and Squarespace sites. If your main job is answering website visitors and support tickets with a team of agents, Tidio is designed around that workflow.

MyChatBot starts from the sales conversation. Its Sales Platform runs AI assistants that answer customers across channels, search your product catalog, take orders in the chat, keep client records and a pipeline, and send follow-ups. A separate Agents Platform runs autonomous agents and routines for internal work. It suits businesses that sell through messengers, social DMs, marketplaces and the phone and want the conversation, the lead and the next step in one system.

Key differences

Channels

Tidio’s multichannel inbox covers live chat, email, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, and its site lists Telegram, Twilio and RingCentral integrations for the Plus and Premium plans. MyChatBot connects the Website Widget, WhatsApp Business or a linked personal number, a Telegram bot or account, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, a Viber bot, Gmail, SMS through Twilio or Quo, OLX and a Webhooks API.

AI approach

Lyro learns from your support content, answers on live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, runs Smart Actions and passes questions to a human when the answer is not in its knowledge base. It can also work inside other help desks such as Zendesk or Salesforce. The MyChatBot assistant gets a role, tone, knowledge base, tools, working hours and handoff rules, and it is built to sell: find the right item, take the order, move the lead forward.

CRM

Tidio adds tags and contact properties to customer profiles and connects to CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Microsoft Dynamics 365. MyChatBot has a native CRM: every contact the assistant talks to becomes a lead on a pipeline board with funnel stages, labels, notes and tasks. On Pro and above it also works with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Bitrix24, Kommo, KeyCRM, SalesDrive, GoHighLevel and others, or a custom MCP server.

Voice

Tidio lets teams escalate chats to calls through its Twilio and RingCentral integrations. MyChatBot’s Calls channel puts an AI voice agent on inbound and outbound calls via SIP, Twilio or a browser Web SDK, with a transcript and recording in the client’s chat.

Pricing model

Tidio bills by billable conversations, meaning those that include a message from a human agent, and counts Lyro AI conversations separately. MyChatBot plans are sized by AI replies per month, connected channels and integrations. See MyChatBot pricing and Tidio pricing.

When to choose Tidio

Tidio is a sound choice in several situations:

  • Your team works mostly in website chat and email, and you need a help desk with tickets, macros and priorities.
  • You run a store and want ready Flows templates; Tidio lists more than 40 for ecommerce.
  • You already use Zendesk, Intercom or Salesforce for support and only want to add an AI agent, since Lyro can be purchased on its own and connects to those tools.
  • You prefer to pay mainly for conversations your human agents answer, and to begin on the $0 Free plan or a 7-day trial.
  • The channels Tidio lists cover where your customers write, and AI phone calls are not on your roadmap.

MyChatBot is the stronger fit when sales happen in Viber, TikTok or on OLX, when you want leads, orders and follow-ups in the same place as the chat, or when an AI agent should also answer the phone.

How to switch to MyChatBot

  1. Pick a plan. Solo covers one channel and 200 AI replies a month; Standard adds every supported channel, follow-ups, pipeline and orders; Pro adds CRM, ERP and custom MCP integrations.
  2. Move your knowledge. Add FAQs and documents to the knowledge base, connect a product feed or spreadsheet, and check answers in the Test Dialog.
  3. Configure the assistant. Set its role, tone, working hours and Handoff Control: a stop word, implicit or silent handoff, and auto return.
  4. Bring in contacts. Import your existing list into Leads from a Google Spreadsheet whose first row has column headers such as Name, Email and Phone.
  5. Connect channels one by one. Keep Connect agent to this channel off while you review settings, send a real test message, then switch it on. On your website, replace the old chat code with the Website Widget snippet.
  6. Add the next steps. Create follow-up sequences, and connect your CRM or the Calls channel if you need them.
