Settings

The essential agent settings that control how your MyChatBot agent operates, from on/off controls to message formatting.

Agent On/Off control

There are three levels of on/off control that work together:

1. Individual chat toggle, each chat has an "AI" toggle to turn the agent on/off for that conversation.
2. Channel toggles, each channel (Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.) has its own toggle for the whole channel.
3. Global agent toggle, the main toggle controlling the agent across all channels and chats.

Manual vs schedule control

Manual: go to agent settings, turn off every day of the week, clear the "time from / time to" fields, apply to all days, now you can toggle the agent manually.

Schedule: set work hours per day (e.g. 7 AM, 6 PM), choose timezone, apply to all days or configure individually. The agent turns on/off automatically; the manual toggle becomes inactive when a schedule is set.

Automatic shutoff conditions

The agent turns off automatically when: balance is low, once your message balance drops below -200, you get notifications and the agent stops; plan limits, on a Pro Plan (1 agent) with several agents configured, only the most recently activated one works, the rest turn off.

Flight Control (Telegram notifications)

Receive important system notifications via Telegram. For direct messages: enter your Telegram username, copy the command /my_id @mcbassistant_bot and press Save, start a chat with @mcbassistant_bot, send the command, your Telegram ID then appears in the Flight Control window after a page refresh. For a group: add @mcbassistant_bot to the group, put the group name in the input and Save, then send the command in the group.

Hand-off control

Lets external systems or users transfer control between AI and a human. Set a specific stop-word phrase (e.g. "just a minute", "one second", an emoji). When that exact phrase appears in a client chat, it toggles the agent: on→off or off→on. Enable Silent hand-off to switch without notifying users, useful for seamless AI↔human transitions.

Reply format settings

Convert image links to images, sends images as actual images instead of URLs.
Reply by paragraphs, splits long messages into paragraphs sent with a slight delay for a natural flow.
Allow schedule messages, lets the agent schedule follow-ups in a chat (they appear in the Follow-up tab; each applies to one chat).
Hide calculus equations, hides complex math from customers and shows only final results (totals, prices), handy for construction, engineering or calculation-heavy businesses.
