All the information covering platform functionality and guides on how to configure full-fledged sales agents for your business.

Welcome to MyChatBot

This guide is a map of the MyChatBot platform: what each part does, where it lives in the app, and in which order to set up a full-fledged sales assistant for your customers.

Before you start, have ready:

  • a MyChatBot account at app.mychatbot.app;
  • access to the first channel you want to connect, such as a Telegram bot token, a WhatsApp Business account or a Facebook Page;
  • your business knowledge: FAQ, documents, and a product feed or spreadsheet if you sell products;
  • optionally, access to your CRM.

If you can’t find what you need, write to MyChatBot support on Telegram.

Two platforms: Sales and Agents

You switch between the two platforms with the tabs at the top left of the app.

  • Sales Platform is your customer-facing AI assistant: messaging Channels, CRMs under Integrations, Leads, Chats, Orders and outreach.
  • Agents Platform runs autonomous agents that do work for you and your team; there you configure their tools, Connectors, Knowledge, Tasks and Skills.

Some sidebar names, such as Agents, Channels and Knowledge, exist on both. If a setting isn’t where you expect, check which tab you are on. The steps below use the Sales Platform, where customer conversations live.

Set up your first sales assistant

  1. Configure the assistant. Open Agents in the sidebar to reach the Agent configuration page. Set the Name and Communication style, describe what the assistant does in the Role card, and move separate topics such as a returns policy into skills with + New Skill.
  2. Add knowledge. On the Knowledge Base page connect Business Knowledge sources and, for products, a Product Feed or Product Spreadsheet under Product Inventory. Then pick that knowledge base in Toolkit → Knowledge.
  3. Test. Ask real customer questions in the Test Dialog; Clear chat resets the scenario. Test replies count toward your plan’s AI messages.
  4. Connect a channel. In Channels, select the assistant in the dropdown and connect the account or token. Keep Connect agent to this channel off while you review, then switch it on and send a real test message.
  5. Organise leads. In Toolkit → Lead Management keep Manage leads locally on to edit statuses and labels in MyChatBot, or connect a CRM under Integrations. Attach sequences under Follow ups.
  6. Work the conversations in Active chats and on the Leads page.

Settings that matter

  • Work Hours: schedule, time zone, breaks and extra working hours. Outside them the assistant is paused.
  • Flight Control: links a Telegram group where your team receives notifications and can give the assistant tasks.
  • Handoff Control: a Stop word for manual handoff or Implicit operator handoff (one or the other), Silent handoff, and Auto return from handoff after 24 hours or a custom interval.
  • Reply & Tools: Primary reply language, Split reply by paragraphs, Send links as separate messages.
  • Contact Details and Client Context: save the client’s name, phone, email and the data points you define, shared across channels.

Common problems and fixes

  • The assistant doesn’t reply. Check the Status switch. Assistants switch off when the balance runs out and don’t always switch back after a top-up. Messages that arrive outside Work Hours are not answered later, so have an operator review them.
  • Only one assistant works. On Standard and Pro only one sales assistant is active at a time, the most recently updated one. Multipro and above allow several; see pricing.
  • A channel won’t connect. A channel identity belongs to one assistant. Disconnect it from the other assistant first or use a different bot.
  • Changes don’t apply. Instructions, Work Hours, Handoff Control and Reply & Tools need Save; saved changes work from the next reply.
  • Follow-ups don’t run. Drafts work only after you publish them in the Follow-Ups editor.
